Free GRE General Test Exam Questions and Answers
The GRE was shortened on 22 September 2023, and most material online still describes the old test. It now runs about one hour fifty-eight minutes rather than three hours forty-five. Analytical Writing comes first and is a single Analyze an Issue task in 30 minutes — the Analyze an Argument essay was removed outright. Verbal Reasoning is two sections, 12 questions in 18 minutes then 15 in 23; Quantitative Reasoning is two more, 12 in 21 then 15 in 26. The unscored experimental and research sections are gone as well. Verbal and Quantitative each score 130 to 170 and Analytical Writing 0 to 6 in half points, scores stay reportable for five years, and the fee is $249 across most of the world.
