Privacy Policy

This explains what we know about you, why we know it, and what you can do about it. It is short on purpose.
What we collect
Things you give us: your name and email address when you sign up, what you tell us about your study goals, anything you write to us, and the details needed to complete a purchase.
Things that come from using the site: which pages you look at, how you get on with practice questions, and basic details about the device and browser you are using so pages load properly and we can spot suspicious sign-ins.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information. Please do not send it to us.
Card numbers never reach us. When you pay, that part is handled by a payment partner and we only get back enough to know the purchase went through.
Why we collect it
- To give you the service: your account, your purchases, your progress and your study plan.
- To keep accounts safe and to spot people sharing or misusing access.
- To answer you when you get in touch.
- To send you the emails that go with what you bought, and, if you want them, occasional emails about the service. Those you can stop at any time.
- To see which parts of the site are useful, so we can make it better.
Who else sees it
A small number of companies help us run Exampractice: they handle payments, send our emails, keep the site online and tell us which pages are popular. They only get what they need to do that job, they work to our instructions, and they may not use your information for anything of their own.
We do not sell your information. We would only hand it over otherwise if the law required it, or to protect people from harm, or if the business itself changed hands, in which case we would tell you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser so it can recognise you next time. We use them to keep you signed in, to remember your settings, and to count visits to a page.
Your browser can block or clear them. If you block the ones that keep you signed in, you will not be able to stay logged in.
Keeping it safe
We protect your information in transit and at rest, limit who inside the company can see it, and review that regularly. No service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
How long we keep it
While you have an account, and for a while afterwards where we have to keep records, for example for tax or to settle a dispute. After that we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
Your choices
You can see and change most of your details in your account settings. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close your account. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, and we will honour them.
Marketing emails have an unsubscribe link in every one. Emails about something you bought will still reach you, because they are part of the service.
Children
Exampractice is for adults preparing for professional exams. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Where your information is
We are based in the United States and your information may be handled there and in other countries where the companies helping us operate. Wherever it goes, it stays protected to the standard set out here.
Changes
If we change this, we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you directly when the change is significant.
