Free DELF/DALF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) Exam Questions and Answers

DELF and DALF are awarded by France Éducation international on behalf of the French Ministry of Education, and between them they cover the whole CEFR range: DELF spans A1 to B2 and DALF the C1 and C2 levels above it. Each diploma tests four skills — listening, reading, writing and speaking — marked out of 25 apiece, and passing requires both 50 out of 100 overall and at least 5 out of 25 in every individual skill, so one collapsed component sinks the whole attempt. The diplomas are valid for life with no expiry, which is unusual among language qualifications and makes them worth more than a test score that lapses after two years.

The first 10 questions on this page are free to read, answers included — no account and no card. A plan opens the rest of the bank, the full timed practice test and your weak-topic reporting.
