Free ICILS (International Computer and Information Literacy Study) Exam Questions and Answers
This is a system-level research study, not a qualification you can earn. Schools and students are sampled statistically, each student sees only a fraction of the item pool, and results are reported as population estimates for education systems — no individual ever receives a score, and there is nothing to pass or fail. ICILS is the IEA's study of computer and information literacy among grade-eight students, run in 2013, 2018 and 2023 with the next cycle due in 2028, and it includes an optional computational-thinking component. It is the only international study of its kind, and it exists because assumptions about a digitally native generation kept failing when tested: ICILS repeatedly finds that everyday device fluency does not translate into the ability to evaluate, manage and produce information reliably.
