Free CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) Exam Questions and Answers

CLEP is credit by examination rather than admission — 34 exams accepted by around 2,900 colleges and universities and sat at more than 2,000 test centres. The exams are computer-based and linear rather than adaptive, and most are multiple choice only. College Composition is the notable exception at 125 minutes: 50 multiple-choice questions in 55 minutes plus two essays in 70, scored 20 to 80. The fee is $97 for 2026 plus a proctoring charge set by the centre, which College Board contrasts directly against paying hundreds of dollars per credit hour through coursework.

The first 10 questions on this page are free to read, answers included — no account and no card. A plan opens the rest of the bank, the full timed practice test and your weak-topic reporting.
