Global Professional in Human Resources is one of the HRCI tests covered here. HRCI runs eight certifications on a genuine ladder: aPHR and aPHRi at entry with no experience requirement, PHR, PHRi and the California-specific PHRca at practitioner level, SPHR and SPHRi at strategic level, and GPHR for multinational work — the trailing i marks the international variants. All are delivered through Pearson VUE. HRCI is a separate body from SHRM, and PHR and SPHR are not interchangeable with SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP however similar the roles they describe. HRCI does not publish question counts, pass marks or recertification credit requirements on its open certification pages.
