Free 820-605: Cisco Customer Success Manager (CSM) Exam Questions and Answers
Cisco Customer Success Manager (CSM) is exam 820-605, part of Cisco certifications. In Cisco's current scheme the first digit gives the level: 100 is entry, 200 associate, 300 the CCNP concentration exams, 350 the CCNP core exams that also qualify you for CCIE, 500 specialist and 700 the unproctored sales exams. Older codes such as 400-, 640- and 642- predate the February 2020 restructure, when every CCNA track was collapsed into one exam and CCNP moved to a core-plus-concentration model.

Question #1
A customer complains about the number of times they must explain their problems and ask different team members to find a solution. How can this issue be avoided?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: D
Repeated re-explaining happens because ownership is unclear, so defining roles and responsibilities with the stakeholders gives each issue a clear owner and hand-off path. Sharing an org chart alone does not assign accountability.
Was this answer correct?Question #2
In an onboarding session, introductions to new stakeholders were made, new KPIs were collated, and desired use cases were discussed. Which step does the Customer Success Manager take next?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: B
Onboarding output feeds the success plan: the stakeholders, KPIs, and target use cases gathered are turned into a documented plan with milestones, then validated with the customer at the next review.
Was this answer correct?Question #3
Which scenario represents a use case expand opportunity?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: D
Applying the existing endpoint security solution to data center servers as well as laptops adds a new use case for the same technology, which is the definition of a use case expansion.
Was this answer correct?Question #4
A customer wants to deploy new technology. The Customer Success Manager is concerned the customer is not ready to adopt the solution. Which steps with the Project and Operations teams ensure a successful adoption?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: A
Readiness is judged by measuring the actual end users: assess their current skills, identify the gaps against what the new technology requires, and target training to close those gaps rather than training as many people as possible.
Was this answer correct?Question #5
Which two outcomes are the goals of the initial customer meeting to onboard the customer into customer success? (Choose two.)
Select 2 answers.
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: B, E
The initial onboarding meeting confirms the business outcomes the customer expects and obtains agreement from the key stakeholders who will sponsor the engagement; training and roadmap reviews come later.
Was this answer correct?Question #6
What is Quarterly Success Review?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: D
The Quarterly Success Review is a recurring conversation that reviews the key initiatives agreed in the success plan and progress against them, not a new plan or a technical architecture analysis.
Was this answer correct?Question #7
Which term describes the gap between the features and functions customers purchases and the features and functions customers use?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: A
The consumption gap is the difference between what the customer bought and what they actually use, and closing it is the core of adoption work.
Was this answer correct?Question #8
What is a barrier to adopting software tools?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: A
Limited resources, whether staff, skills, or time, stop customers from deploying and using software they already own. Cost and organization size affect the purchase decision rather than adoption of what is already purchased.
Was this answer correct?Question #9
The Customer Success Manager notices that their customer has delayed going into production. Which action does the Customer Success Manager consider?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: C
Delay in going live pushes out the value the customer expected, so the CSM reinforces time to value and works to remove the blockers. Discounts or chargeable services do not address the stalled deployment.
Was this answer correct?Question #10
From a Customer Success perspective, why should the customer’s health be monitored?
Please select an optionIncorrectCorrect answer: A
Monitoring customer health provides early warning of changes in the customer's experience with the solution, giving the CSM the chance to address them before value or satisfaction is lost.
