Free PreACT Exam Questions and Answers
PreACT is ACT's practice and predictive suite rather than an admissions test, and it comes in four versions with different ceilings — a genuine quirk worth knowing before you read too much into a score. PreACT 8/9, for grades eight and nine, runs 130 minutes and tops out at a Composite of 30; PreACT 9 Secure runs 155 minutes and caps at 32; standard PreACT and PreACT Secure, for grades nine to eleven, run 160 minutes and cap at 35. None reaches the ACT's 36. All are multiple choice and report a STEM score alongside a predicted ACT range. The suite is being realigned to the restructured ACT — four answer choices in mathematics, optional Science, and a Composite built from English, Mathematics and Reading — with the Secure versions moving first, so confirm which version your school administers.
The first 10 questions on this page are free to read, answers included — no account and no card. A plan opens the rest of the bank, the full timed practice test and your weak-topic reporting.
