Exampractice

Frontend Engineer

Full timeRemoteEngineeringUS$95,000 per year

Build interfaces that stay fast on a mid-range phone and a patchy connection, because that is what most of our users have.

Apply for this role

Our readers are studying on whatever device they own, often on mobile data. Performance here is not a score in a dashboard, it is whether someone can revise on the bus.

You would own the parts people touch: the question bank, the practice test, the quiz.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain the interfaces people study in.
  • Keep bundles honest and interaction snappy on low-end hardware.
  • Work from a real design system rather than reinventing a button per page.

What we are looking for

  • Strong React and TypeScript, and opinions about when not to use state.
  • You test on a cheap phone, not only a laptop.
  • Accessible markup is a habit, not a ticket.

What we offer

  • Fully remote, and genuinely worldwide — we hire where you already are.
  • Flexible hours. We ask for a few hours of overlap, not a timezone.
  • A small team, so the person who wants the work is the person you talk to.
  • Short feedback loops: what you ship reaches people sitting an exam next month.
