Backend Engineer

The catalogue is large and keeps growing, and almost every interesting problem here is a data problem — importing banks, de-duplicating questions, keeping counts correct, making a page that joins five tables return in under a hundred milliseconds.

What you will do

• Design schema and queries for a catalogue in the hundreds of thousands of rows.
• Build and maintain the import pipelines that bring new question banks in.
• Own the scheduled jobs: retention, reconciliation, notifications.

What we are looking for

• Deep SQL, ideally Postgres. You read EXPLAIN without flinching.
• Experience with data imports that have to be re-runnable and idempotent.
• Careful about migrations against a live database.
